These terms are an agreement between you and the team that runs CodeFour (“we” and “us”) about using CodeFour: the Discord bot, this website and dashboard, and the codefour_bridge resource. By adding CodeFour to a server, logging in to the dashboard or using the bot, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use CodeFour for an organisation, you agree to these terms on its behalf.
2.Who can use it
You must meet Discord’s minimum age and follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. To add CodeFour to a server or change its settings, you need permission to manage that server.
3.The service
CodeFour helps run Discord communities for FiveM servers, with support tickets, an AI assistant, FiveM server status and whitelisting, applications, moderation and community tools.
Adding CodeFour and using its features is free. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll explain what they cost before you’re charged, and we’ll update these terms.
4.Your server, your responsibility
If you add CodeFour to a server or manage its settings, you’re responsible for how it’s set up there. In particular, you agree to:
tell your members your server uses CodeFour, for example by linking to our privacy policy in your rules;
only give CodeFour content you have the right to share, such as documents and web pages for its knowledge;
make sure the way you use the whitelist, applications and moderation features follows the law and Discord’s rules;
keep your bridge key private.
Decisions your staff make with CodeFour, such as bans, refunds and application results, are your responsibility.
5.Acceptable use
Don’t use CodeFour to:
break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
harass, threaten or discriminate against people;
send spam or mass unsolicited messages;
share sexual content involving minors, or any other content Discord forbids;
collect information about people without a lawful reason;
impersonate other people or organisations.
Don’t try to access parts of the service or data you’re not allowed to, interfere with or overload the service, get around its limits or security, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
6.The AI assistant
The assistant writes answers automatically. They can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, even when they sound confident, and they aren’t professional advice. Check anything important, and don’t rely on the assistant for decisions that affect people without a member of staff reviewing them.
Don’t ask members to share sensitive information, such as passwords or payment details, with the assistant. You’re responsible for the instructions and knowledge you give it. Answers are written by third-party AI models through our provider, whose terms also apply.
7.FiveM and other services
CodeFour is an independent project. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Cfx.re, FiveM, Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. All product names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Server status and network statistics come from Cfx.re and Heartbeat, and may be delayed or inaccurate. Your use of Discord, FiveM and other services is governed by their own terms.
8.The codefour_bridge resource
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and run the codefour_bridge resource on FiveM servers you operate, for use with CodeFour. You may change it for your own use, but you may not sell it or distribute it as part of another product. It’s provided as is, and you’re responsible for running it on your server.
9.Your content
You keep ownership of what you and your members put into CodeFour, like messages, documents and settings. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run CodeFour for you. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies the law requires us to keep.
10.Our rights
CodeFour, this website, the dashboard and their design, code and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using the service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
11.Availability
We work to keep CodeFour running, but we can’t promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. We may pause it for maintenance or updates, and we may stop offering it. If we decide to shut it down, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can, so you can save anything you need.
12.Suspension and ending
You can stop using CodeFour at any time by removing it from your server. We may remove CodeFour from a server, or block someone from the dashboard, if they break these terms, if Discord requires it, or to protect people or the service. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you why.
The sections on your content, our rights, disclaimers and liability keep applying after these terms end.
13.Disclaimers
CodeFour is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t make any promises about it, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. If you’re a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don’t affect.
14.Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or revenue, lost data, or harm caused by members, staff or other services. Because CodeFour is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15.Claims caused by your use
If someone brings a claim against us because you used CodeFour in breach of these terms or the law, you’ll cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, as far as the law allows.
16.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll give notice in the dashboard or our support server before they take effect. If you keep using CodeFour after that, you accept the new terms.
